Email for Growth

If you are wanting to grow your business, email is a cost effective and must have tool for the business toolbox.  Using a platform such as Facebook is a great way to start your business because its free. However have you ever thought about what would happen if you lost access tomorrow?

Having an email list means that you have a way of contacting your customers should something happen to other platforms you use. You own your list, you don’t own your social media accounts, they are owned by Facebook or Twitter etc. Social media however, is a path along which your customers can travel to your email list.

Email is Cost Effective

An email list is cost effective because accounts are free to set up and until you get to a certain level of subscribers the only cost is your time (with Mailchimp and Mailerlite). If you were to spend money on an email platform, for every dollar invested you would get back 40x more than you would with spend on any social media platform (2014 study by  Mckinsey).

Business Building

“How can having an email list help build your business, that is the dumbest thing I ever heard” Did that thought go through your mind when you heard that?

In business its about building a relationship with your customers, which can be accomplished in part by seeing customers on a regular basis. However using email and sending regular newsletter can help build that relationship and a community too. Its through building a community  that will help build your business.

Where to Start?

Knowing where to start can be the difficult part and that is why I created my course Getting Started with Email.  When I first started one of my businesses and saw the relevancy of having an email list there wasn’t much information around on how to set it up and what platform to use. What I did read sounded like a foreign language. I had to learn through a lot of trial and error.

I expand on the information provided here in the course. If you want to learn more about what the course offers, click on the button below.
