Explore Howicks Hidden Treasures

When out hunting for treasures nothing is more enjoyable than finding second hand stores close together it makes buying and offloading your treasures easier. On an outing to Howick in Auckland it was brilliant to be able to walk through Rices Mall and go shopping at not one, but three stores. To make it easy for you I have put all the shops on a map which you will find towards the end of the blog.

Explore Howicks Hidden Treasures Rices Mall

First stop was the Hospice shop. Quite a small store but with lots of goodies to choose from. However a lot of the nice retro furniture was display only probably not a bad idea as it saved my wallet from becoming empty.

Next was the Charity Boutique which until I had a closer look I thought was just clothing, This was an even smaller shop than Hospice but was nicely set out with some crockery and other bits and pieces including baskets.

The Salvation Army was the last store in the Mall. This was the biggest of the three and had a selection of everything, from furniture, clothing, kids toys and more.

SPCA

The SPCA store was the next stop on our explore Howicks hidden treasures tour. I really liked this store and I did buy a few things and wanted to shop up a storm  but I needed to save money for the next shop. Make sure to see what the shops is like on the video below let me know if you agree.

Hato Hone St Johns

St Johns was the last stop on our exploration of those hidden treasures. Unfortunately I didn’t get to spend any money, not that there wasn’t great things to buy but just nothing for me at the time.

More time for shopping?

If you have more time up your sleeve then make sure to check out the op shops in Panmure and Glen Innes I havent been there for awhile so let me know if anything has changed.
