Did you enjoy art when you were a kid? There was something about playing with different things that made life so much fun. Finger painting, making things with clay, pastels, collages so many different ways to create.

Then you got a little older and then came the critics. Consequently you started to question your abilities and gave up creating to pursue other interests. But there was always that nagging question, what if? That’s where I come in.

Hi I’m Jenny and I rediscovered my passion for art and so can you.

Having enjoyed art up until the 5th form and not permitted to take it further was devastating, it was my best subject. Unfortunately I got stuck as I didn’t have the skills to move past the disappointment. Taking an upholstery class in 2014 changed all that.

No I’m not suggesting you take up upholstery but it was the journey afterwards that lead to what I do now. Following on from the class I got into decoupage, and upcycling wooden trays. This still forms part of what I create and you know the best part people buy my art.

Art is for everyone, you could call it a gateway drug because once you find what you love the rest will follow. It doesn’t have to be fine art or mixed media or drawing it can be all or none of those but it’s the journey of discovery. And I want to help you find what you love.

A big portion of what I do revolves around upcycling because it is so satisfying creating and giving life to something that’s been discarded. It also saves you money and stops things getting thrown away. Hence the tagline The Upcycologist ™

To get started make sure to look at my blog I have a number of tutorials there or if you want to get started with decoupage check out the course to make your own clock. Now if my 79 year old mum can make a clock so can you!

Half the fun is the journey
