Life can be hectic. With Christmas on the horizon it can be a stressful time, coming up with ideas of what to buy and where to do your shopping. If you like to shop online I have compiled a list of some of the businesses I have recently purchased from.
All of these businesses recommended, create the items themselves. You are guaranteed to receive something unique and special.
Recommendations
- Handmade books and hand-died paper by Liz over at Book Art Studios. Liz creates her books by hand using paper that she has dyed herself. I caught up with Liz at the General Collective Market recently with a gorgeous display showcasing some of her wonderful creations.
- Everlasting Flowers. Sema from Artiflax grows and uses New Zealand flax ( Harakeke ) to create gorgeous masterpieces. Flax bouquets, like the one pictured below and other artworks can be found on the website.
- Felt creations from coasters to artwork. Caroline is a fibre artist and she creates stunning felted artworks which can be found on her website. Nothing goes to waste. Smaller discarded pieces are recreated into items such as coasters.
- Something for the man in your life. Bedside organisation by The Carpenter & Co. Wallets, watches phones and more all have a place on this fabulous wooden organiser. It can be used in the office too.
- Upcycled Jewellery with an edge. Judy from Green Heart Jewellery creates unique jewellery. using glass, recycled china, stone and silver.
