Op Shopping Hub, Tauranga
Who knew that Tauranga was an op shopping hub? On my recent trip to Tauranga I made it my mission to visit as many op shops as possible in one day. I did manage to visit 15 out of 18 on my list but bear in mind that it didn’t include clothing only stores.
If you wanted to see what other things I got up to then check out my other other blog, 7 Must do Things in Tauranga
Greerton
The first suburb was Greerton. What made it particularly special was a number of trees had been yarn bombed.
I visited St Vincent De Paul, SPCA shop, Red Cross shop and St Georges Anglican Church op shop all on Chadwick Road. I didn’t get to visit the Salvation Army Shop or the Waipuna Charity Shop this time.
Fraser Cove & Tauranga South
Off to Fraser Street next with my first stop at Bridge Community Store. Great place and it even has a cafe. A quick stop at Waipuna Hospice Charity shop lots of nice things but I didnt buy anything as it was a little outside my budget.
SPCA Tauranga South was the next stop followed by St Vincent de Paul on Cameron Road
Brookfield
In the Brookfield shopping Centre there are two shops, the St Johns and the Salvation Army stores. The Sallies had a rather large store unfortunately nothing for me to bring home this time. You will find another Salvation Army Store on Cameron Road then it was a quick trip over to Mt Maunganui.
Mt Maunganui
I stopped in at the Red Cross Shop and another Salvation Army Store. Also located in Mt Maunganui is the St Vincent de Paul and another Waipuna Hospice Charity shop. There is also a Waipuna Hospice in Papamoa but I didn’t visit this trip.
Final Word
I didn’t come away with many goodies, maybe it was shopping fatigue as looking back on some of the videos there is certainly things I would have bought.
For all the shops in one handy place make sure to check out the listing on google maps which can be found here.
If there are any must see shops you have come across then do let me know. If you have time pop over to Rotorua and visit these shops
