Secondhand Shopping in Devonport
It was a sunny autumns day when I ventured across the Auckland Harbour Bridge to Devonport. After a quick bite to eat it was off exploring the op shops in the Devonport village. Another great spot where the opshops are all close together. I didnt find many items to purchase but I’m a bit more discerning these days so depending on what you are looking for I’m sure something will grab your attention.

Anglican Community Op Shop
Quite a small shop but filled to the brim with lots of goodies from vintage items, to homewares, clothing kids stuff and more. It was quite busy so its obviously very popular. Loved the old highchair but unfortunately I have no use for it.
Bookmark Secondhand and Antiquarian Books
Nice to come across a secondhand bookshop, there aren’t many left. Not only did this shop have a big selection of books they also had some nice displays that included vintage items (not sure if they were for sale). Large amount of kids books too.
Hospice Shop
A nicely set out shop which took advantage of the footpath outside the shop to display their ample stock. The retro glasses did catch my eye but I have quite a few in the Treasure Trove already. The pieces of furniture that caught eye were a little outside my budget.
SPCA Op Shop
This shop was probably the one that impressed me the most, well laid out and with nice displays. Maybe the old sewing machine and table display drew me in. Lots of items to choose from including clothing.
Salvation Army
Another small shop but filled with all sorts of treasures to take home. I did manage to find something to buy this time.Isn’t this the cutest mincer you ever did see? If you’d like to make it yours then pop over to the Treasure Trove
If you’re ever in the neighbourhood make sure to go Secondhand Shopping in Devonport, especially on a nice sunny day.
