If you are short on time then make sure to hit the Te Rapa Op Shops. I spent a couple of hours exploring and found some absolute gems! Here’s everything you need to know for your own treasure hunting adventure.

Habitat for Humanity Restore
Location: 29 Bryant Road Te Rapa Hamilton
Opening Hours: 9am – 4:45 am Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday
What you’ll find:
- They have lots of everything but majority of clothes
- Homewares
- Electrical goods
- Furniture
My hot tip: This store is a treasure trove of second hand furniture.
Salvation Army Family Store
Location: 369 Te Rapa Road
Opening Hours: 9am – 5pm M-F, Sat 9am -4 pm, Sunday Closed
What you’ll find:
- A large amount of clothing
- Does have homewares
- Small amount of Furniture
My hot tip: Make sure to have a look in the front window for some gems

- Mavis & Co – on Grey St Hamilton East
- Two Birds Eatery – has a nice courtyard area also in Hamilton East
Other Spots Worth Checking
- There are quite a few secondhand shops in Hamilton: Central City or Hamilton East
- Hamilton Collectables Market if visiting on a Saturday

- If in the central city make sure to purchase parking
