Exploring The Op Shops In Tauranga And Papamoa
On my way home from some time in Rotorua at our Air B n B recently, I headed to Tauranga to take a look at the op shops in the area. It turns out, there are so many to choose from!
First on the way through was Papamoa, where I visited the Waipuna Hospice shop and the Dove Op Shop.
Both stores I managed to find a few treasures to take home.
Then I headed on over the bridge to Greerton, to see what bargains I could get myself.
Greerton, I found out, is actually fondly known as the Op Shop Capital of New Zealand. (Some might say of the world….)
I definitely hit the jackpot here, 7 Op Shops, all within walking distance of each other, and free parking as well!
Stores I visited were:
I also got to finally meet Nikki from Nota Bene – Virtual Assistant, whom I have worked with quite a bit recently. We met up at Zest Cafe for morning tea and a good chat about business, crafts and travel blogging. It’s always nice to meet people you have known online for so long.
I really enjoyed visiting the shops in Greerton, it’s so nice to be able to see so many different shops so close together, and most were very well priced.
There are a lot of other op shops I missed on this trip, but I definitely will be back to explore even more of them. If you have any must visit Op Shops, please let me know and I will make sure I check them out as soon as I’m able to.
Hopefully I will be allowed to head away for some more road trips and Op Shop hunting very soon.
Jenny.
